The owner of the Toyota Camry broke down on his way home from work; this was in a commercial area of Maspeth Queens New York. The area was desolate, so he left his Toyota and went looking for help. When he came back he found his Toyota missing. He immediately called the New York Police Department of the 108 precinct, when the police arrived they took a written report. This information was then entered by the NYPD in the City, State, and Federal crime computer which automatically activated the LoJack® System in the stolen Toyota.

Within a short while of the activation, officers from 115 precinct, Jackson Heights Queens, picked up the silent LoJack signal on their onboard LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that their vehicle was equipped with. This was in the Jackson Heights section of Queens, confines of the 115 Precinct. They tracked the Toyota through various streets in Jackson Heights, eventually locating the Toyota parked on a residential street. They staked the Toyota out for a short while, however when no one showed up for the Toyota they took it into custody. The Toyota was recovered in good condition with slight damage to the front bumper.

The owner was contacted and he was elated that his Toyota was recovered so quickly, especially with such minor damage. He further stated that he was happy that when he purchased the Toyota he purchased the LoJack system with the car.

The LoJack® System was installed on November 2006 at Star Toyota Bayside Queens New York.
