The owners of a 2009 Toyota Camry contacted the Houston Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their residential driveway sometime during the night.

Houston PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota Camry.

A short while later   officers from the Houston Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signals from the stolen Toyota Camry with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the   officers   tracked the vehicle to retail strip center parking lot. Officers noted slight damage to the right front fender. The recovered vehicle was returned to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Camry in April 2008.
