The owners of a 2012 Harley Davidson Fat Boy motorcycle contacted the Phoenix Police Department to report that their motorcycle had just been stolen.  The owners heard the motorcycle being started and by the time they got outside the suspect was riding away on their motorcycle.

The Phoenix Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Harley Davidson.

A short while later officers from the Phoenix Police Department picked up the silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen Harley Davidson with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the motorcycle to a residence near the area of 19th Avenue and Thunderbird Road in North Phoenix.

The stolen Harley Davidson was tracked to the fenced back yard of the residence.  The police made contact with the owner of the residence who was uncooperative.  The homeowner was detained and a search warrant was executed on the property.  The Harley Davidson was located in the back yard and recovered.  The motorcycle battery had been disconnected and the sparkplug wires removed.  The motorcycle was processed for evidence and later returned to the owner in good condition.
