The commercial customer, owner of a 2008 Airman Air Compressor contacted the Houston Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen  from a construction site on FM 1960 @ Kenswick near George Bush Airport sometime during the previous night.

The Houston Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Airman Air compressor.

Just over one hour later, officers from the Houston Police Department  picked up the silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen Airman air compressor with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to a residence in the 5200 block of South Acres on the south side of Houston, sixty miles from the theft location. The unit was being sand blasted and had all identifiers removed. Officers seized the compressor and stored it at a storage facility and turned the case over to auto theft investigators who will follow up. Suspects have been developed and arrests are expected in this case.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2008 Airman Air Compressor in August 2008.
