The owner of a 2008 Suzuki GSXR600 motorcycle contacted the Cayce Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from his home.

Cayce PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Takeuchi

A short while later officers from Cayce Police Department picked up the silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen Suzuki with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to a secluded area just outside the city limits.

The officers found the Suzuki GSXR600 motorcycle abandoned in a wooded area. This was the second time this motorcycle had been stolen and recovered in the past year. The investigation is continuing.

The LoJack®System was installed in the Suzuki GSXR600 in February, 2010.
