The LoJack® System Helps Los Angeles, California Police Recover Stolen Suzuki GSX-R1000 Motorcycle

When the Los Angeles, CA residents in this case discovered their Suzuki GSX-R1000 motorcycle missing, they were grateful for the LoJack® system that was installed when the bike was purchase. With LoJack’s help, local police made a fast, safe, same-day recovery.

On June 9th, 2014, the Suzuki’s owners contacted police to report that their motorcycle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack device concealed in the GSX-R1000, which was installed at Las Vegas Motorsports in Las Vegas, NV, was then automatically activated.

A short later, patrol officers in the area picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen motorcycle on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Suzuki was located on Titus Street, where it was parked and abandoned. The officers retrieved the GSX-R1000 and it was soon back in the possession of its happy owners.
