The owner of a Honda Accord in Van Nuys, CA discovered her Honda Accord missing from her residence on a recent Friday. Thanks to the excellent work of local law enforcement, with help from the LoJack® system that was installed when the vehicle was purchased, the car was recovered that very same day.

On May 23rd, 2014, the Honda’s owner contacted the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department to report that her vehicle was stolen. Deputies verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Accord, which was installed at Miller Honda in Van Nuys, CA.

A short while later, deputies from The San Bernardino CSD picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen car with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Honda was located traveling near the intersection of 5th Street south of I-210. A traffic stop was performed and deputies arrested a suspect. The Accord was retrieved and soon returned to its appreciative owners.
