The owner of a Suzuki GSX-R600 motorcycle parked it in the visitors’ lot at a hospital in Albuquerque, NM on a recent Tuesday, and exited the facility to discover his bike was missing. The LoJack® system that was installed when the bike was purchased helped local law enforcement make a fast, safe, same-day recovery.

On May 27th, 2014, the Suzuki’s owner contacted the Albuquerque Police Department. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activates the LoJack transponder concealed in the GSX-R600, which was installed at Town & Country Motorsports in Chandler, AZ.

This tactic would have hindered a visual search but did not detain the LoJack system. Charges are pending for the suspected thief. The GSX-R600 was retrieved was soon returned to its thankful owner.
