The victim in this case parked his Honda CBR motorcycle at his friend’s home in Paterson, NJ, on a recent Sunday and left it there for a few days. When he returned to the location on the following Thursday, the bike was gone. Thanks to assistance from the LoJack® system that was installed when the CBR was purchased, local law enforcement made a fast, safe, same-day recovery.

On May 22nd, 2014, the Honda’s owner reported the crime to the Paterson Police Department. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the CBR, which was installed at Shore Tractor Company in Freehold, NJ.

A short while later, officers from the Bergen County PD picked up the silent homing signals coming from the stolen motorcycle on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Honda was discovered at an apartment complex in Hackensack, where it was parked and unoccupied. Police retrieved the CBR and soon returned it to its appreciative owner.
