A recent Sunday was anything but a ‘fun day’ for the Sacramento, CA residents in this case. They discovered their Honda Accord missing from its parking spot in front of their home. Thanks to the excellent work of local law enforcement, assisted by the LoJack® system installed in the car, the Accord was recovered later that day.

On April 27th, 2014, the Honda’s owner contacted the Sacramento Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Accord, which was installed at Cush Honda in San Diego, CA.

A short while later, officers with the Sacramento PD picked up the silent homing signal from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Honda was found traveling near Grand Ave and South St. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver taken into custody without incident. The Accord was retrieved and soon returned to its relieved owner.
