A Houston, TX resident discovered his Suzuki GR1000 motorcycle was missing from his apartment complex parking lot on a recent Thursday. The LoJack® system that was installed when the bike was purchased proved to be an excellent investment. Local law enforcement, with LoJack’s help, recovered the bike later that same day.

On April 3rd, 2014, the Suzuki’s owner reported the crime to the Harris County Sheriff’s Department. Deputies verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the GR1000, which was installed at Tejas Motorsports in Highlands, TX.

A short while later, a deputy from the HCSD picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen motorcycle on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Suzuki was found in a nearby apartment lot, where it was parked and abandoned. Police retrieved the GR1000 and soon returned it to its relieved owner.
