Coral Springs, Florida Police Recover Stolen Honda Civic with Help from the LoJack® System

When your car, truck, van or motorcycle is stolen, it’s very important to get it back quickly. The less time a thief has your vehicle, the less time there is to do any damage. Fast, safe recoveries are a hallmark of the LoJack® system. In this case, a Honda Civic stolen in Boca Raton, FL is recovered the same day by local law enforcement assisted by LoJack.
On March 31st, 2014, the Honda’s owner contacted the Boca Raton Police Department to report their vehicle stolen. The responding officer prepared a stolen vehicle report and theft affidavit, and had the vehicle’s information entered into the state and federal crime computers. This routine police procedure automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Civic, which was installed at Hoehn Acura in Calabasas, CA.
A short while later, a Coral Springs PD officer picked up the silent homing signal from the stolen car on their LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The Honda was located at an apartment complex, where it was parked and abandoned. Police retrieved the Civic and quickly returned it to its thankful owners.
