Memphis, Tennessee Police Recover Stolen Honda Accord with Help from the LoJack® System

On a recent Thursday, the Memphis, TN residents in this case noticed their Honda Accord missing from their residence. The decision to have the LoJack® system installed when they purchased their vehicle proved to be a good one. With LoJack’s help, local law enforcement recovered the Accord, without damage, later that same day.

On March 20th, 2014, the Honda’s owner reported the crime to the Memphis Police Department. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Accord, which was installed at Wolfchase Honda in Bartlett, TN.

A short while later, officers from the Memphis PD received the homing signal from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers located the Honda in a commercial section of the city, where it was found parked and abandoned. The undamaged Accord was retrieved and soon returned to its appreciative owners.
