When the Clovis, CA resident in this case discovered his GMC Sierra was gone, he called local police to report the truck missing, knowing that officers would activate the LoJack® system installed in the vehicle and recover it quickly. They also discovered parts from another stolen pickup as well.

On February 16th, 2014, the GMC’s owner contacted the Fresno Police Department to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack transponder concealed in the Sierra was then automatically activated.

Just a few minutes later, an officer from the Clovis Police Department picked up the homing signals from the stolen truck on the LoJack tracking computer.  The officer discovered the GMC in a private backyard, concealed from view by a wooden fence.  Parts from another stolen truck were found in the yard as well, and the homeowner was taken into custody. The undamaged Sierra was retrieved and soon returned to its grateful owner.
