On a recent Tuesday morning in Haddon Township, NJ, the owner of a 2010 Honda Accord started up her car and left it running and unlocked in the driveway to warm up. She went back inside her home, and, when she came outside to leave, her vehicle had already left with a thief behind the wheel. The LoJack® system that was installed when the car was purchased helped local police recover it quickly and safely that same day.

On March 18th, 2014, the Honda’s owner reported the crime to the Haddon Township Police Department. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack device concealed in the Accord, which was installed at Honda of Turnersville, NJ, was then automatically activated.

A short time later, a patrol officer from the Camden County Metro PD picked up the homing signals coming from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The officer located the Honda a convenience store lot, where it was parked and abandoned. Police retrieved the undamaged Accord and some returned it to its thankful owner.
