When the owner of a Ford F-250 discovered his truck missing in Pima, AZ, recently, it took local police just over a half hour to locate it, thanks to the LoJack® system that was installed when the truck was purchased. LoJack is the only stolen vehicle recovery system that is operated by law enforcement, enabling a speedy and safe recovery.

On January 14th, 2014, the Ford’s owner called the Pima County Sheriff’s Department to report the crime. Deputies verified the theft and entered the stolen vehicle information into the NCIC computer. This routine police action automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the vehicle, which was installed at Sanderson Ford in Glendale, AZ.

Just a few minutes after activation, Tucson Police officers began picking up the homing signal from the stolen truck with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers observed the Ford on East River Road, where it was parked and abandoned. After a brief surveillance, the F-250 was retrieved and soon returned to its thankful owner.
