This San Ramon, CA resident discovered his Kawasaki ZX600 motorcycle was missing from his home late one Sunday morning. The LoJack® system he had installed when he bought his bike demonstrated its value by helping local police recover it quickly and safely.

On January 5th, 2014, the Kawasaki’s owner called San Ramon Police to report that his motorcycle was stolen. Officers verified the crime information and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the ZX600, which was installed at Florida’s Fun Bike Super Center in Lakeland, FL, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, Contra Costa Auto Theft detectives picked up the homing signals from the stolen motorcycle on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The detectives located the Kawasaki being driven and attempted a traffic stop. The suspect dropped the bike and attempted to flee on foot but was soon apprehended. The ZX600 was retrieved and soon returned to its thankful owner.
