It’s great to sleep late on your day off, but that relaxed vibe can be ruined when something awful happens. In this case, some North Andover, MA residents awoke to find their 2010 Toyota Corolla missing from their driveway. The victims didn’t have to worry for long, thanks to the LoJack system they had installed when purchasing their car, which helped local police recover it in less than an hour after activation.

On June 8th, 2013, the Toyota’s owner of a 2010 Toyota Corolla contacted the Haverhill Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Corolla, which was installed at Herb Chambers Toyota in Auburn, MA.

A very short while later, officers from the North Andover PD began picking up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers quickly located the Toyota, parked and unoccupied on Main Street. The Corolla appeared to be undamaged and was soon returned to its grateful owner.
