On a recent Sunday afternoon, the Daytona Beach, FL resident in this case was planning to take a ride on his Suzuki GSX-R600 motorcycle when he discovered it missing from his apartment complex lot. Thanks to the LoJack® system he had installed when he bought his bike, it took less than five hours after activation for local police to retrieve it.

On November 23rd, 2013, the Suzuki’s owner contacted the Daytona Beach Police to report that his bike was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the GSX-R600, which was installed at Cycle World of Daytona Beach, FL.

A short while later, officers from the Orlando PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen motorcycle on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers located the Suzuki in the residents’ lot of an apartment complex on Kirkman Road, where it was parked and abandoned. After a brief surveillance, the GSX-R600 was retrieved and soon returned to its happy owner.
