When a rented 2011 Ford flatbed is not returned on time, the Naples, FL rental business contacted local law enforcement for help. Thanks to the LoJack® system installed in the vehicle, recovery took less than an hour after activation.

On December 27th, 2013, a store employee contacted Naples Police to report the crime after several attempts to contact the customer had failed. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle’s information into the state and federal crime computers. This routine police procedure automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the flatbed.

A short while later, Delray Beach PD officers picked up the homing signal from the stolen truck on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers retrieved the Ford and quickly returned it to the rental location.
