The Baltimore, MD residents in this case discovered their Honda Accord was missing just after 5 am on a Saturday morning.  The LoJack® System that they had installed when they purchased their car helped local police recover their vehicle later that same morning.

On December 21st, 2013, the Honda’s owner contacted the Baltimore City Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the Govans area of Baltimore. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Accord, which was installed at Brown’s Honda City in Glen Burnie, MD.

Within a short period of time, flight officers in the Baltimore City Aviation Unit Foxtrot picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computer installed in their helicopter. The flight officers tracked the Honda to Southern Avenue. Ground officers also located the car, parked and unoccupied in an alley. The undamaged Accord was retrieved by police and soon returned to its thankful owner.
