Houston, Texas Police Recover Stolen 2013 Ford F-150 Pickup Assisted by the LoJack® System

The Houston, TX resident in this case was surely in shock when he woke up on a Thursday morning to find his 2013 Ford F-150 missing from his apartment complex parking lot. The LoJack® system he had installed when purchasing his truck proved its worth by helping local law enforcement recover the vehicle that very same day.

On December 5th, 2013, the Ford’s owner contacted the Houston Police Department to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack transponder concealed in the F-150, which was installed at Lone Star Ford in Houston, TX, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, officers from the Houston PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen pickup on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Ford was located downtown, parked and abandoned. The officers retrieved the F-150 and soon returned it to its very thankful owners.
