While the owner of a Honda Accord attended a late night movie in Vancouver, WA, thieves in the parking lot were stealing his car. This film fan was glad he had the foresight to have the LoJack® system installed when he purchased his vehicle. With LoJack’s help, local law enforcement recovered the Accord in just over 90 minutes after activation.

On November 28th, 2013, when the Honda’s owner returned to his car and discovered the theft, it was reported to the Vancouver Police Department. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle identification number into the state and federal crime computers. That process automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Accord, which was installed at Kramer Honda in Santa Monica, CA.

A short while later, a Vancouver PD officer received the homing signal from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle.  The officer tracked the Honda to 124th Avenue and Laura Court, where it was parked and abandoned. The Accord was recovered and soon returned to its relieved owner, who told police this was the second time the Honda had been stolen and recovered with LoJack.
