When the owner of the 2010 Honda Civic in this case realized he left his keys in the car, he probably ran outside to grab them, only to have his worst fears realized- his car had been stolen. It’s a good thing our victim didn’t for get to have the LoJack® system installed when he bought his Civic, because, with LoJack’s help, local law enforcement recovered it in less than two hours after activation.

On November 19th, 2013, the Honda’s owner reported the incident to the Washington Township Police. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit hidden in the Civic, which was installed at Honda of Turnersville, NJ, was then automatically activated.

A short time later, a patrol officer from the Washington Township PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The officer tracked the Honda to a nearby industrial complex where it was parked and abandoned. The undamaged Civic was soon returned to its relieved owner.
