A short while later, an officer with the Fort Collins PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen bike with the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol car.  The officer quickly located the stolen Harley concealed behind a passenger van at the rear of a convenience store.  It was later discovered that the thief, after hiding the motorcycle, stole a car from a store customer who had carelessly left his vehicle running and unattended.  It is not known if the thief was intending to return for the bike. The Softail was undamaged and was soon returned to the very grateful owner.
