Just around dinner time one Saturday night, the Las Vegas, NV resident in this case noticed his Suzuki GSXR 600 motorcycle missing. Thanks to his local police and the LoJack® system he had installed when purchasing the GSXR 600, it took less than four hours after activation for his bike to be recovered.

On November 2nd, 2013, the Suzuki’s owner contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.  After verifying the theft, officers entered the stolen motorcycle information into the NCIC Stolen Vehicle System. The hidden LoJack unit on the GSXR 600, which was installed at Honda of Las Vegas, NV, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, flight officers with the LVMPD Air 1 began picking up the homing signal with the LoJack tracking computer installed in their helicopter. They located the motorcycle inside a residential neighborhood and requested ground assistance. The ground units further tracked the signal to a home on Eagle Claw Ave, where the Suzuki was recovered in a garage where three males were working on it. Two suspects were arrested. The GSXR 600 was soon returned to its thankful owner.
