The LoJack® System Helps Dallas, Texas Police Department Recover Toyota Corolla Stolen from Nightclub

The victim in this case was having a great time at a nightclub in Dallas, TX. In fact, she was having so much fun that she didn’t realize someone had taken her car keys from her purse- until she left the club and found her Toyota Corolla was no longer in the lot. Police were able to track it down and recover it that same evening, thanks to the LoJack® system she had installed when purchasing her vehicle.
On October 1st, 2013, the Toyota’s owner contacted the Dallas Police to report the Crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Corolla, which was installed at Mike Calvert Toyota in Houston, TX.
A short while later, officers from the Dallas PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the Toyota to the driveway of a private home. The homeowner stated that he bought the vehicle for $200. The Corolla was in good condition and was soon returned to its very relieved owner.
