The Eugene, OR resident in this case returned home after a two day trip to find his Audi A6 missing from his driveway. He immediately contacted local law enforcement who, with the help of the LoJack® system, recovered the A6 in just a half hour after activation.

On October 17th, 2013, the Audi’s owner contacted Eugene Police to report the crime. Officers verified the information and entered the VIN into the NCIC stolen vehicle database.  This routine police action automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the A6, which was installed at Barrier Audi in Bellevue, WA.

A few minutes later, a Portland Police K9 unit received the homing signal transmitting from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol car.  The officer tracked the Audi to SE 92nd Avenue and SE Taggart Street in Portland, where it was found parked and abandoned. The undamaged A6 was soon returned to its relieved owner.
