The Georgia resident in this case looked out his window around 1:30 am one weekday morning and discovered his Buell 112 Motorcycle missing. This victim was glad that he chose to have the LoJack® system installed when he purchased his bike, because his local police, assisted by LoJack, were able to recover it in less than five hours after activation.

On September 24th, 2013, the Buell’s owner called Clayton County Police to report it stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the NCIC police computer. This action automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the motorcycle, which was installed at Southside Harley Davidson in Virginia Beach, VA.

A short while later, officers with the Clayton County Police, picked up the homing signal on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol cars. The motorcycle was tracked to the parking lot of an apartment building, where it was hidden under a cover. The Buell was soon returned to its very happy owner.
