Imagine you’re making a quick stop at a local mall, and when you exit, ready to leave, your vehicle is nowhere to be found. That’s what happened to these Florida residents when their Ford F-350 was stolen. The LoJack® system they had installed in their truck proved its worth by assisting local police in recovering the F-350 in less than a half hour after it was activated.

On September 11th, 2013, the Ford’s owner contacted the Hialeah Police Department to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle’s information into their state and federal crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the F-350.

A short while later, a Miami Beach PD officer picked up the homing signal from the stolen pickup on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The office tracked the Ford and found it abandoned in an apartment complex parking lot. The F-350 was soon returned to its relieved owner.
