This case involves a motorcycle stolen from a motel parking lot in Delaware. Whether the owner was staying there for work or for vacation, we’re sure this theft made things a lot less pleasurable. The LoJack® system he had installed on his bike really came in handy- it helped local law enforcement recover his Kawasaki ZX600 in just 92 minutes after activation.

On June 25th, 2013, the Kawasaki’s owner discovered that their motorcycle had been stolen from the parking lot of a motel in Delaware.  The victim contacted Delaware State Police. The responding trooper verified the theft and entered the bike’s information into the Delaware State Police Computer. This automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the ZX600, which was installed at Powersports East in Bear, DE.

A short while later, a Sergeant from the Smyrna, DE Police picked up the homing signals from the stolen motorcycle on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. He tracked the signal to an abandoned property in Smyrna, where the Sergeant observed the ZX600 parked next to a building. The Kawasaki was recovered and soon returned to its grateful owner.
