There are lots of fun things to do on a Saturday night. Having your vehicle stolen is not one of them. It’s a good thing that the Chowchilla, CA residents in this case had the LoJack® system installed when they purchased their Chevrolet TrailBlazer, so their local police could recover it in a little over a half hour, and the victims could relax and enjoy the rest of their weekend!

On June 15th, 2013, the Chevy’s owners contacted the Chowchilla, CA Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen. Chowchilla PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the TrailBlazer, which was installed at Courtesy Automotive Center in Merced, CA.

A short time later, a California Highway Patrol officer picked up the homing signals from the Chevy with the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The officer tracked the vehicle to northwest Fresno, where it was found unoccupied and abandoned on the side of the road. The TrailBlazer was recovered intact and undamaged; it was soon returned to its very grateful owner.
