Memorial Day turned from a holiday to a horrible day for this San Diego, CA resident when he woke up and found his 2011 Honda Accord SE missing from his driveway. The victim did get a little happier when his local police, assisted by the LoJack® system, were able to retrieve his car and return it to him undamaged.

On May 27th, 2013, the Accord’s owner contacted the San Diego Police to report that his car was stolen. SDPD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Honda, which was installed at Honda World Westminster in Westminster, CA.

SDPD officers picked up the homing signals from the Accord on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles.  The officers tracked and found the vehicle on University Ave. in San Diego, where it was parked and abandoned. The Honda’s owner was thrilled to get his car returned.
