The owner of a Honda CBR 600 motorcycle in this next case had his bike stolen from his workplace. The local police did their work as well, using the LoJack® system installed on his vehicle to track it down in only one hour and seven minutes!

On May 1st, 2013, the Honda’s owner contacted the Hialeah, FL Police to report that their motorcycle was stolen from their place of employment. The responding officer entered the bike’s VIN (vehicle identification number) into the state and federal crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the CBR 600, which was installed at Cycle Riders of Orlando, FL.

A short while later, the homing signal from the Honda was picked upon the LoJack tracking computer installed in the patrol vehicles of officers from both Hialeah and Miami-Dade. The Hialeah officer located the motorcycle parked and abandoned near West 26th Street and 10th Court. The CBR 600 was recovered with only minor ignition damage and soon returned to its very relieved owner.
