In this case, a stolen Honda Civic is tracked by Fresno, CA officers, assisted by the LoJack® system, and four suspects are arrested- all in under 70 minutes! On May 14th, 2013, the owner of a Honda Civic contacted the Fresno Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen. Fresno PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into their state and federal crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Honda, which was installed at Long Beach Honda in Long Beach, CA.

A short time later, an investigator with CCAT, the Fresno Police Department Property Crimes Task Force, picked up the homing signals from the Honda with the LoJack tracking computer installed in his undercover vehicle. The investigator tracked the vehicle to a residential area in central Fresno, where he discovered the Civic parked near some apartments and called for backup. After a brief surveillance, an adult male and three juveniles entered the vehicle and attempted to drive away. The investigators quickly stopped the vehicle and arrested the suspects. The Honda was recovered intact and undamaged; it was soon released to its relieved owner.
