12 minutes isn’t a lot of time- it’s not even a quarter of an hour. There aren’t many things you can do in 12 minutes- unless you’re a Deputy with the Kern County, CA Sheriff’s Department-in which case you can take those minutes and track down a stolen Nissan Frontier- with the help of the LoJack® System!

On May 4th, 2013, the Frontier’s owners contacted the Bakersfield, CA Police to report that their vehicle had been stolen. The Bakersfield PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into their state and federal crime computers. The LoJack device concealed in the Nissan, which was installed at ABC Nissan in Phoenix, AZ, was then automatically activated.

A very short while later, a deputy from the Kern County Sheriff’s Department picked up the homing signals from the Frontier on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The deputy tracked the vehicle to a residential area near 21st St. where he found the undamaged car abandoned on the side of the road. The Nissan was soon returned to its relieved owner.
