When law enforcement retrieves a stolen vehicle assisted by the LoJack® system, we are very proud of the effectiveness of our product.  We are even prouder when the retrieval happens very swiftly, as in this California case where a stolen Toyota Corolla was located just nine minutes after activation!

On May 16th, 2013, the Toyota’s owner contacted the Riverside, CA Sheriff’s Department to report his vehicle had been stolen. The sheriffs verified the theft and entered their vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Corolla, which was installed at Toyota Place in Garden Grove, CA.

A very short while later, a Canine officer with the Anaheim Police picked up the homing signal from the Toyota on the LoJack tracking computer in his patrol vehicle. He tracked the stolen car to the rear of an apartment building in the 1200 block of Lincoln and requested backup. Officers determined that the signal was coming from a closed garage. The Corolla was located inside and a suspect was arrested. The Toyota was soon returned to its very grateful owner.
