A sunny Sunday afternoon sounds like the perfect time to take a ride on your motorcycle- at least, that’s what this Rockville, Maryland resident thought until he went to hop on his 2008 Suzuki GSX-R600 and found it missing.

On May 19th, 2013, the Suzuki’s owner contacted the Montgomery County Police to report that his motorcycle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into their state and federal crime computers. The LoJack® device concealed in the bike, which was installed at JT Motorsports in Frederick, MD, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, auto theft detectives from the Montgomery County PD Department picked up the homing signals from the stolen Suzuki on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the vehicle to Evans Street in Rockville, where it was recovered in just 62 minutes after activation. The GSX-R600 was soon returned to its very grateful owner.
