Vehicle thieves often cross state lines to avoid apprehension. What they don’t know is that when the LoJack® System is activated in one state, it’s activated in EVERY state LoJack covers.

On April 18th, 2013 the owner of a 2011 Suzuki GSX-R1000 motorcycle contacted the St. Matthews, South Carolina police to report that their bike was stolen from their home.

St. Matthews PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into their state and federal crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Suzuki, which was installed at Velocity Powersports in Ladson, SC.

A short while later, officers from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg, NC police picked up the homing signals from the stolen motorcycle on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The vehicle was tracked to an unoccupied residence. A search warrant was obtained and the Suzuki was found hidden in the garage. A suspect was later arrested, and the GSX-R1000 was soon returned to its grateful owner.
