On July 14, 2012, the owner of this a 2005 Kawasaki ZX636 motorcycle contacted the Seattle Police Department to report that the motorcycle had been stolen the previous night from the owner’s driveway in the 700 block of North 86th Street.  Seattle Police Department verified the theft and entered the Kawasaki’s identification number into the state and federal crime computers. That process automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the motorcycle.
Less than fifteen minutes later, an officer with the Seattle Police Department and a King County deputy received the silent LoJack homing signal transmitting from the stolen motorcycle on the Police Tracking Computer installed in their patrol cars.  Following the directional and audible cues from the LoJack computer, the officers quickly tracked the motorcycle to 86th & Aurora, where they found the abandoned vehicle. The bike had damage to the steering lock and ignition.
The LoJack Stolen Vehicle Recovery System was installed in this Kawasaki motorcycle in May of 2007 at North County’s House of Motorcycles in Vista, California.
