A short while later , officers with the NYPD’s 115th Precinct in Elmhurst, Queens, picked up the silent LoJack homing signals from the stolen Honda on the Police Tracking Computers installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the LoJack computers, the officers tracked the vehicle to a residential street in the Elmhurst section of Queens. There, they located the vehicle, parked on a residential street. They staked the vehicle for a short while; however, when no one showed up for the vehicle, they took it into custody.
The vehicle was recovered in excellent condition, without any damage. The owner was notified, and was elated that his vehicle was recovered so quickly, especially with no damage.
The LoJack Vehicle Recovery System was installed in the 2010 Honda Odyssey on March 26, 2010 at Paragon Honda in Woodside, Queens.
