On June 11, 2012, the owner of a 2008 Yamaha motorcycle contacted the Burleson Police Dept to report that her vehicle was stolen from an apartment complex in Burleson. Burleson officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Yamaha motorcycle.

A short while later, officers from the Fort Worth Police Department picked up the silent LoJack homing signals from the stolen motorcycle on the Police Tracking Computers installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the LoJack computers, the officers tracked the vehicle to a house, where they found the stolen motorcycle in the garage.  The garage door was open and three suspects were attempting to strip the stolen motorcycle.  All three suspects were arrested.

This is the fourth time this 2008 Yamaha motorcycle was stolen.  Each time it was recovered, because it was equipped with the LoJack Vehicle Recovery System.  Three of the four recoveries led to arrests.

The LoJack Vehicle Recovery System was installed in the 2008 Yamaha motorcycle in June of 2008 at the Yamaha Suzuki West dealership in Fort Worth.
