On June 15, 2012 the owner of a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle contacted the Anderson Police Department to report the vehicle stolen from their home. Anderson Police verified the theft and entered the vehicle’s information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Harley Davidson.

A short while later, officers from the Anderson Police Department picked up the silent LoJack homing signals from the stolen Harley Davidson on the Police Tracking Computers installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the LoJack computers, the officers tracked the motorcycle to a residence on the outskirts of the city limits. There, they discovered the motorcycle hidden at the rear of the residence. One suspect was arrested, and the investigation remains ongoing.

The LoJack Vehicle Recovery System was installed in the Harley Davidson on October 23rd, 2010 in Harley Davidson of Greenville.
