Plymouth Voyager Stolen and Recovered in Baltimore City, Undamaged and Abandoned

On the morning of March 3, 2012, the owner of a 2000 Plymouth Voyager van contacted the Baltimore City Police Department to report the vehicle stolen from the 3200 block of Walbrook Avenue. The responding officer conducted a preliminary investigation and after obtaining all vehicle information, completed a stolen vehicle report. He then had this vehicle information entered into the state and federal computer crime databases. This routine police action automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Voyager. Neither the owner nor law enforcement agents had to do anything else to activate the LoJack Stolen Vehicle Recovery Network, because LoJack’s interface with the police is both seamless and instantaneous.
Later that day, officers from the Baltimore City Police Department received the silent homing signal from the stolen Voyager on the LoJack Police Tracking Computer installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible signal of the LoJack computer, the officers tracked the stolen Voyager to the 3400 block of Fairview Avenue in Baltimore City, where the vehicle was located, abandoned. The undamaged vehicle was recovered and returned to the grateful owner.
The LoJack Vehicle Recovery System was installed in the Plymouth Voyager van at the owner’s request in January 2001.
