Stolen Bentley Bentayga RecoveredThe owners of a 2017 Bentley Bentayga contacted the New York City Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen from the driveway of their home in Staten Island sometime during the night. The owner had video surveillance cameras on his home that showed the vehicle being stolen from his driveway by two suspects around 2 AM. A key fob was left in the vehicle. The owner also called the LoJack Call Center to notify LoJack of the theft.

The New York City Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2017 Bentley Bentayga.

A short while later officers from the Essex County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Bentley with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to Avon Street in the City of Newark, where the vehicle was located parked in an apartment complex garage. A consent to search was obtained for the garage and the vehicle was recovered undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2017 Bentley Bentayga in April of 2016 at Bentley Edison of Edison, N.J.
