The owner of a 2016 Range Rover called the East Rutherford Police Department to report that someone stole his vehicle from his driveway in East Rutherford. The Range Rover was unlocked and the key fob was in the vehicle.

The East Rutherford PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Range Rover.

A short while later, officers from the Newark Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Range Rover with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC the officers tracked the Range Rover to Poe Ave in the City of Newark where the vehicle was recovered parked and undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2016 Range Rover in December 2015 at Prestige Land Rover of Paramus in New Jersey.
