The owner of a 2017 Nissan Versa contacted the Baltimore County Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the 2300 block Chetwood Circle in the Lutherville area of Baltimore County, Maryland. The Baltimore County PD Radio dispatched an officer from Precinct 7 to investigate the incident. The officer quickly arrived on location, interviewed the complainant and surveyed the area for the Nissan. When the officer was unable to locate the Nissan a stolen vehicle report was prepared. The officer then arranged for the stolen vehicle information to be entered into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan Versa.

A short while later, officers from the Baltimore City PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan Versa with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles and helicopters. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Nissan to the area of 400 Fallsway in Baltimore City, Maryland. At this location, officers observed the Nissan parked and unoccupied. The undamaged Nissan was recovered by police and the owner notified.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2017 Nissan Versa in February 2017 at Nationwide Kia in Lutherville, Maryland.
