This Ford Taurus was stolen sometime during the night from the owner’s driveway located in the 16500 block of 118th Avenue SE in Renton. When the theft was discovered the next morning it was reported to the Renton Police Department who verified the report and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

Later that day, the King County Sheriff’s Office deputies picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford. A King County SO sergeant also received the signal. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC (Police Tracking Computer) installed in their patrol cars, they located the Ford in the 12100 block of SE 272nd Street near Kent. The Ford was abandoned.

The LoJack® System was installed in this Ford Taurus in August 2007 at Auto Nation Ford in Bellevue, Washington.
