The owner of a 2015 Ford F250 reported to the Bloomfield Police Department that someone had rented the truck using fraudulent documents.

The Bloomfield PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford F250.

A short while later, detectives from the New Jersey State Police Auto Theft Unit picked up the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the detectives tracked the Ford to South Street in the City of Newark where the vehicle was located parked and unoccupied. A surveillance was established and two suspects were seen entering the Ford. The suspects were arrested and the Ford was recovered undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2015 Ford F250 in August 2015 via Commercial Sales in Atlanta, Georgia.
