LoJack® System Helps Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Recover Stolen New Holland Tractor

The owners of a New Holland tractor contacted the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department to report that their machine was stolen from the city of Menifee.

The Riverside County SD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the New Holland.

At a later time, deputies from the Riverside County SD’s Air Unit picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen New Holland tractor with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the New Holland to a neighborhood located at Ritter and Wakefield Ave in the city of Menifee. Ground units were sent to the area and the New Holland tractor was found behind a residential rural property.

The LoJack® System was installed in the New Holland in June 2006 as a commercial install in Fullerton, California.
